A powerful single-core Cortex A8 processor is included in effort to maintain smooth operations when running multiple software components, with thousands of applications available via the Android App Store. 8, 16 and 32-gigabyte hard drive sizes are offered depending on the amount of multimedia content that a given user may want to store on his or her device, including audio, video and picture content. The IdeaPad A1 also features a 5-megapixel rear-facing digital camera for still image and video capture, alongside a 2-megapixel front-facing lens for self-photography and videoconferencing capabilities.
