Unlike many of its touchscreen counterparts, the PocketBook incorporates a row of physical buttons at the bottom of its bezel in effort to provide one-touch shortcuts to some of the device's most commonly-used features. Running the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, users can customize their home screen and download many different kinds of applications via the Android App Store, with 4 gigabytes of storage space built in for holding a large amount of audio, video and picture files. Optimized for eBook reading, the A10 incorporates a soft rubber backing for additional comfort, and includes dedicated page-turn buttons for further simplicity. Wi-Fi internet connectivity comes standard, with optional 3G service for wireless data capabilities. The entire unit is powered by a 1-gigahertz TI OMAP internal processor, providing fast rendering speeds for application multitasking and smooth, lag-free video streaming.
