Shuttle V08CT01

The Shuttle V08CT01 is a low cost Android tablet aimed at the student market. Unlike the larger N10 and N9 tablets, the V08 is equipped with an older Cortex A8 based Texas Instruments processor running at 800Mhz.

Other components include 512MB of memory, and a 8 inch SVGA (800x600) LCD display. On the outside, the V08 is designed to be rugged. It is also advertised to be dust and waterproof. The V08 runs the Google Android 2.2 Froyo operating system which is somewhat disappointing as the 2.3 version of the software is readily available upon the release of the V08. Version 2.3 offers some much needed refinements and improvements for the Android operating system. The Shuttle V08CT01 is a good option for educators considering its low retail price and durability.
