Sony S1
$599.00
Released September, 2011
The Pros:The "folded" design does redistribute the weight in a way that makes it feel more comfortable to hold. TruBlack does actually give very good black levels and contrast on the display. You can play your video from the SD card.
The Cons:SD card slot can only be used for media exchange, and not for direct access to media (can't play video files from SD card). The screen scratches more easily than its Gorilla Glass laden competitors. Screen is not OLED.
The Sony S1 is a Android operated tablet. The S1 is designed to fold in half, resembling a folded magazine. It's rounded edge profile and 9.4 inch (1280 x 768) display allows handling to become easier and viewing angles improve when the tablet is placed on a table.
